What you need to know about Reciprocal Borrowing:

• Items borrowed from the Dorchester County Library System must be returned                 to the Dorchester County Library System.  Items borrowed from the Berkeley           County Library System must be returned to the Berkeley County Library System.  Materials returned to the wrong library system will be returned to the owning              library; however, they will remain on your account until they are checked in                       at the library where they belong.
   
• Each library system has its own checkout periods, regulations and fines and                 fees schedules.  Learn more about each library system by reading                                  the information provided with your new card, or by visiting the library’s website.  Dorchester County Library System’s website is www.dcl.lib.sc.us and                    Berkeley County Library Systems website is www.berkeley.lib.sc.us.
   
• Request, pick-up and return materials you borrow through Interlibrary Loan           (materials borrowed from a library outside these two library systems) at your            county-of-residence library.
