Dorchester County Library is open, free of charge, to everyone in Dorchester County. It provides services through the St. George Library, the Summerville Library, and the Dorchester County Bookmobile.

The Library provides a variety of other services to the community, including Internet access, personal computing programs, Story Hours for children, educational and cultural programs for adults, meeting rooms, telephone reference service and Bookmobile services to various sites throughout Dorchester county.
