Right off the bat, this book is the kind worth reading. Written by Peter Swanson, The Kind Worth Killing has all the “pieces parts” to be a movie, and as I raced through the ever-twisting plot, it was a movie experience in my head. For a story with only a few major characters, you are on a wicked journey of suspense and surprise.
One of my favorite activities as the calendar year draws to a close is to look at all of the "best of" lists that are generated to see what I might have missed out on reading, watching, or listening to over the past year. Here are just a few of the "best books of 2014" lists for your consideration in case you are looking for any new discoveries or gift ideas during the holiday season.
