Do you want to learn the basics of a
PC? Let us help you learn computer hardware
terms, the keyboard and how to use the
mouse. Open to adults 50 years old and up.
No experience required.

Are you new to computers and the Internet?
We'll walk you through computer terms and
help you get online! Keyboard
and mouse experience preferred.
Email Basics
Learn how to set up and manage a Google
e-mail account to send, receive and forward
email. You will also learn how to
attach documents and create a contact list.
Keyboard and mouse experience
preferred.
Word 2007 Basics
Learn how to open and save a document,
enter, edit and format text in a document
using the ribbon. In addition, learn
how to copy, cut and paste and insert
graphics into your document. Keyboard
and mouse experience preferred.
PowerPoint 2007 Basics
Learn how to create and edit slides, insert
text and pictures, apply themes and
backgrounds to a presentation, work with
placeholders and run a slide show.
Also, learn how to print slides and
handouts. Word Basics experience
preferred.
Facebook
Learn how to set up and use a Facebook
account. Facebook is a social
networking site that connects people with
friends and other who work, study and live
around them. A current email
address, and keyboard and mouse
experience required.
Managing Your
Library Account
Learn how to access and use your Dorchester
County Library's "My Account" features.
This class also includes a brief discussion
of the Dewey Decimal system and how to
search the online catalog.
Registration for classes must be made in
person.
