What Do Junior Volunteers Do?

  • Help with Summer Reading Club Registration.
  • Log participants' reading progress.
  • Hand out prizes.
  • Learn good work habits that can be applied to a "real" job later.
  • Earn a Letter of Recommendation for satisfactory completion of volunteer work.

How Can You Become a Junior Volunteer?

  • You must be between the ages of 11 and 17.
  • Fill out and submit an online Application.
  • St George orientation sessions are Monday, May 22 or Thursday, May 25 @ 4:00pm*.
  • Summerville orientation sessions are Saturday, May 13 @ 1:30pm or Wednesday, May 24 @ 5:00pm*.
  • Apply early - space is limited!

* If you cannot attend the scheduled orientation time, please contact Children's Services in St George at 843-563-9189 or Summerville at 843-875-5075 to arrange a scheduled session time.
