Services 

                    The Friends are engaged in a variety of services and programs,
                    including:

Annual Meeting - Once each year, the Friends hold a meeting
open to all members to review the past years accomplishments
and activities.

Monthly Meetings - The Friends usually meet monthly on the
second Tuesday in the Westvaco Room.  The meetings are open
to all members as well as anyone in the community.

Children's Summer Reading Program - The Friends make a major
contribution toward the books used as rewards in the Children's
Summer Reading Program.

Donations to the Library - The Friends make donations to
the Summerville Library to enhance the services of the Library.

Used Book Sales - The Friends plan to hold used book, CD and
video sales at least twice a year.  Funds raised by these sales are
used for special needs of the Library and to support various  
programs offered by the Friends for the benefit of the Library.

Booknotes - The Friends publish a monthly report of their meetings which includes advance notice of upcoming events, ideas and programs.

And much more - Friends members have some great ideas; we
just need volunteers to help us start up more programs!
